Are silk ties real silk?

How to wash a silk tie?
Avoid putting silk ties in the wash. When you need to clean your silk tie, you should take it to the dry cleaners.

Can you iron a silk tie?
Silk ties can be ironed but require special care to avoid damaging the delicate fabric. Always use a low heat setting and protect the fabric by placing a clean, thin cotton cloth over the tie before ironing. This creates a barrier between the iron and the tie and helps prevent direct contact with the hot surface. Be gentle and iron in the direction of the fabric.
