- Men's Seven Fold Silk Ties
Discover our luxury seven-fold silk ties, a limited Savile Row archive collection created during our time at 40 Savile Row, now known as Custom Made. Featuring luxury men’s silk ties folded seven times for a fuller, weightier drape.
What is a seven-fold silk tie?
A seven-fold silk tie is crafted from a single piece of silk that is folded into itself seven times to create the body of the tie, rather than relying on heavy interlining like standard ties. This traditional construction uses significantly more fabric and results in a fuller, weightier drape and a more luxurious feel, making it one of the most premium forms of tie craftsmanship.
How is a seven-fold tie different from a standard silk tie?
Unlike standard silk ties, which are typically made with multiple layers of fabric to create structure, a seven-fold tie derives its shape from the silk itself. This creates a more natural drape, a richer texture and a more substantial knot that holds its shape beautifully, offering a noticeable upgrade in both feel and appearance.
Why do these ties feature 40 Savile Row branding?
Created by our bespoke tailoring house at 40 Savile Row, before it became known as Custom Made. Part of a limited archive release, the original 40 Savile Row label reflects their heritage and an earlier chapter of our Savile Row history.
