  About Us

We are a third generation family run business, established in 1938, based in the heart of London's Savile Row, and have been crafting finely tailored shirts since conception. Initially, our reputation was built on supplying shirts to many of the UK's finest independent retailers and department stores and since 2001 we have been selling our uniquely tailored and designed shirts directly to our customers via savilerowco.com.

In addition to this website, we have a thriving 'offline' made-to-measure and bespoke service which we retail from our flagship store. We have now harnessed our expertise to bring made-to-measure online. Our tailors have tweaked the measuring process and guided us every step of the way to help customers personalise their own shirt and measure themselves for their one-of-a-kind shirt.

For those customers within accessible distance to London and who would prefer to have one of our tailors measure you, you are most welcome to make an appointment to visit our shop. Once we have recorded your measurements, you can use these to create more shirts online in the future if you wish.

The shirts are made in our own studio in the UK by a team with more than 100 years' experience. As a company, our mission remains the same which is to provide our customers with an exceptional and personal level of customer service; this is the fundamental foundation on which our business has been built.

Delivery

When will my order be delivered?

Please allow up to 4 weeks for orders dispatched to UK addresses. Please bear in mind that your shirt is being created specifically to your measurements and details. We take great pride in the quality of our workmanship and want you to be delighted with your order.

International delivery times vary according to the service you select. Delivery to some countries may experience slight delays depending on customs regulations and local postal services.

What if I need my order faster than 4 weeks?

Should you need your shirt earlier than our normal 4 weeks - we will try our very best to fulfil that request. However, at busy periods - it may not be possible to do so and thus cannot guarantee an 'express service'.

What if my order includes ready to wear items as well as a made to measure shirt?

As our system cannot accommodate split deliveries - all items will be dispatched together. This means that your ready to wear items will arrive up to 4 weeks after placing the order. You may find it more convenient to place two separate orders.

What are your delivery charges?

There will be no delivery charge on made to measure orders as they automatically fall within our free delivery threshold. This will be the case regardless of the shipping destination.

We deliver worldwide, using Royal Mail and a carefully selected number of other reputable carriers. UK customers, please note - if the billing and delivery address on your first order differ, we may write to you for confirmation of your address. This is done to prevent fraudulent misuse of your card. For the same reason, we also ask that customers using an international billing address, place their first order to their billing address.

Returns

What is your returns policy?

You have invested time and money in placing your made to measure shirt order with the Savile Row Company. We want you to be delighted with the end result and the fit of the shirt to be just as you expect.

If the fit isn't quite right or any alteration is needed, simply return the shirt within 90 days and we will make any alteration free of charge. Simply email our Customer Care team on service@savile-row.co.uk to let them know you're returning the shirt and they will contact you to discuss the alteration required.

It would be extremely helpful, although not essential, if you would send a photo of you wearing the shirt - indicating the area for alteration. This will help our tailors to perfect any adjustment.

Should you still not be satisfied, we will either re-make the shirt or refund the full price of the order.

What do I do if an item is faulty?

If your shirt fits well but you discover any fault with the garment - we will always honour our 'No Quibble Guarantee'. Simply return the item to us within 90 days and we promise to either rectify the fault or re-make the shirt - free of charge and without quibble. Washed or unwashed, we won't argue - we'll just take it back. This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights.

We offer free returns in the UK returns.

PLACING AN ORDER

Why do I need to log in?

Once you have your individual shirt measurements, we want to save and store them for you - an account is needed for this purpose. It will save you time if you don't complete your order in one visit or if you've already bought a shirt and return to purchase more. We have made creating an account extremely quick and straight-forward.

How do I measure myself?

Our aim is to make this as easy as possible. All you need is a tape measure and a friend to take some measurements. Once you've customised your shirt, you'll find easy-to-follow, step-by-step video instructions on 'how to take measurements'. These will help guide you through the process.

What if I want to change my measurements or shirt options, once I have placed my order?

On completion of your purchase, you will receive an Order Confirmation email. This email will detail your order, including the measurements you have entered and all the personalisation options you have chosen.

We aim to offer an excellent service so if you wish to make any changes, simply email our Customer Care team at service@savile-row.co.uk within 24 hours of placing your order. This address will appear in your Confirmation email.

All you need say is that you would like to amend your order. We will contact you on the next working day, when one of our experienced team will discuss your new requirements and amend the order accordingly. Our made to measure staff work Monday-Friday 9-5.

PAYMENT

How is payment taken?

Although, your bank will authorise & 'reserve' funds when you place an order -we only take payment when your order is dispatched. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Visa Delta, Visa Electron and Amex.

However should you choose to use PayPal or Pay by Amazon, they will make an immediate deduction from your account.

To ensure we offer the highest level of security - all your payment details are automatically encrypted on entry and our site is continuously monitored by Norton Security.

We also accept postal orders, bank transfers and banker's drafts but we hope you understand that such orders will not be dispatched until funds are cleared.

We will never ask you to provide any payment details over our 'Click to Chat' service nor can we access your account password.

PRODUCT CARE & INFORMATION

What are the care instructions for your made to measure shirts?

Our Product Care page has detailed care instructions for all our garments. Our made to measure shirts are very robust and can be washed in the same way as our ready to wear collection.

What fabric do you use in your shirts?

The vast majority of our shirts are made from compact 100% cotton yarn - providing a luxuriously soft but durable finish. All come with a silk-touch easy-iron finish. We use poplin, herringbone, end-on-end and twill weaves - each chosen to highlight the design of the shirt.

Where do you make your shirts?

All our made to measure shirts are crafted in our company owned UK workshop. Collectively, our team has over 150 years of experience and has been making made to measure shirts for 27 years.

How do I give feedback?
