If you’re lucky enough to have some tickets for The Open, you may want a little assistance with deciding what to wear. To help, our outfit experts have put together three looks that will ensure you arrive in style.

1. Polo shirt, shorts and casual footwear

Whilst there is no official dress code to be followed, in general, attire (in our opinion) should be modest and sensible. After all, you don’t want to become a distraction to the players (Ian Poulter’s trousers will do enough of that). For a fail-safe, summer-appropriate look, opt for a short-sleeved polo shirt, chino shorts and casual footwear.

2. Linen jacket, button-down shirt, chinos and loafers

For those wanting to dress a little smarter, but want to remain comfortable and cool, we suggest teaming a linen jacket with one of our button-down shirts and a pair of classic loafers. Not only will you feel great about yourself, but you’ll be more than sartorially prepared for any unexpected TV appearances you may make.

3. Short-sleeved shirt, chinos and chukka boots

If you’re a fan of understated, timeless style, or the weather ends up worse than expected, then perhaps the previous two outfits would be unsuitable. Instead, you may want to choose a smart-casual outfit consisting of a short-sleeved shirt, chinos and casual chukka boots.

Final Word
Now you know what to wear to The Open, all that’s left to do is enjoy the action. So, who’s your money on?
